Five years ago, I moved to Connecticut with my loyal companion, Oola, a German Shepherd mix (on the right) from a humane society in Brownsville, TX.
After a breakdown in Tennessee and a rainstorm, we finally reached our family. They welcomed us with love and food, making Oola less reliant on me.
She started sleeping in the living room, ready to greet everyone each morning. Eventually, my mom gently told me that if I fell in love and moved out, Oola would stay with the family.
Six months later, I met my fiancé, and we are now happily engaged. In July 2024, we adopted a cheerful miniature poodle named Luna from a wonderful rescue, "Kindness for Homeless Paws." Inspired, I decided to start a business transporting newly adopted dogs to their families for a small fee.
